My son turned 8 YAY! He also requested a Sonic cake... so mom to the rescue yet again lol. I don't think they are posted here but, maybe in the future I will post them. I have kind of a past with cakes. Last year I made a Mario cake that was pretty cool and I also made a Star Trek themed cake for hubby one year that was pretty epic. I used fondant on both (homemade) and decided I was going to go a different route this year. So I went to Pinterest and alas there are Sonic cakes. I decided on the Sonic head. I don't know why. I just felt it. It resonated with my soul I guess. Haha. ANNNYYYYWAYYY. Long blog posts bore me so on with the show!

So we tried a new recipe last night!! I found it on Pinterest of course and here is the original source! Anyway I did grocery shopping yesterday and after shopping for 2 hours I really wasn't feeling like cooking a huge meal but I was also not feeling like ordering pizza seeing as how we're doing that on Friday #NationalPizzaMonth and I'm really over the bagged and boxed meals for now.. so I needed something quick..
Okay so. I have received a lot of requests asking about my "go-to" bread recipe. I have played with recipes for about 2 years before finding one that I LOVED.
However, I have finally found it and I want to share it! Hope you enjoy!!
![]() I picked up 10lbs of potatoes at the farmer's market for $5! Which was a pretty awesome deal compared to the price at the grocery store. Now what to do with all of them? Well. Around here we love french fries. I love potatoes anyway. So these potatoes were quite large as well I got like 3 batches out of less than 5 potatoes. Super awesome! It's quite simple actually.
