Hello!!Just wanted to share this printable that I recently created!
I easily found a Countdown to Christmas printable and I framed it so we can countdown just using a dry erase marker. After seeing it framed hubby requested I also do one for New Year because I mean who isn't ready for a fresh year? Y'all--- I couldn't find one Countdown to New Year printable so, I used some free images and free online software and created my own. Feel free to save it to whatever device you're using and print it out for yourself! I think it's pretty cute! Also thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a great holiday season! Much Love Amanda

Hi there!
Thanks for stopping by! I have posted another page and process! This page has been sitting for a long time so I decided to finish it. I think I may actually finish up my first art journal this year! I only have a few pages left! I started this one I think in 2016... idk I'll have to recheck the date but anyway pretty cool. And onward. This was a very simple page... mostly just trying out some new things. Step 1. Got to try out some of my new gesso yay! Got it at Hobby Lobby during a 50% off sale! I like the brightness it adds to the page and it does also help blend everything together. I dig it. Hi there! Just sharing another one of my creative outpours! This pretty girl has been sitting around for months now just waiting to be turned into something cool so I finally did it! This was a bit challenging but fun for sure. Basic Mixed Media/Collage... The girl came from a magazine and the flowerly elements from an adult coloring book. I will probably start making my own doodles soon but I'm happy using what I have for now. Welcome back!
I hope you are doing fabulous today! I have another pretty page to share! Funny enough the title is "Made to Sparkle" but this piece actually has zero glitter or sparkly stuff unlike the majority of my pieces BUT it's the choice I made. The title came from a tag that had been sitting for a while and I've really been itching to use it... so it happened. Hi there! Thanks for stopping by! So I'm gonna walk you through one of my latest pieces... It started with some watercolor experiementation and later turned into a mixed media piece... This was where I started.
I'm just using some basic Crayola watercolors, nothing fancy... I wanted to play around with the "galaxy" idea a bit so I did... Hi there!
So recently I found a few quotes that I wanted to enhance with some "simple" watercolor and uhhh boy did I get in over my head lol I have been working with watercolors for a while in a more abstract way so I thought I could whip something up pretty quickly that would enhance the quote but it was much much more difficult than I expected lol take note I am using basic Crayola watercolors (honestly they're leftover from my son from school lol) and I'm using a sketch journal, not watercolor paper. However, better tools would not have changed the outcome of my piece here lol Birthday card I made for my sister! The very bottom layer is actually a wine bag I repurposed with some glitter! The rest is watercolor, melted crayon and the elements are cut from a magazine! I had a lot of fun making this card! My sister is a professional chef so the wine theme is appropriate I think. Anyway thanks for stopping by! Much love Amanda Finally finished the full black, gold and white spread!
I really love it! It's extremely difficult to photograph but it's beautiful none the less. However, this will be the end of the black, gold and white for a while! September is beginning and we're going to move into cooler colors... Blues especially but also purples and pinks... silvers maybe... My art is journal is almost full! I'm hoping it'll be finished this year since I've been working in it about a year now but it's my first art journal. Thanks for stopping by! Much love Amanda Hey there!!!
So nice to see you!! So here is my #3 lyrically inspired work of art. This is actually my very first 3D mixed media art piece and I am soo happy with it! I've had this tag saved for a while it's just a basic tag from an article of clothing but it's a very sturdy tag and it was black which is something kinda different so I've been saving it and last night I decided I wanted to upcycle it into something amazing! So continue on and you can see how the magic happened! HI THERE!
I am beyond excited to share this latest journal page and process with you all BECAUSE I love it so much!!! It was sooo difficult to photograph which kinda sucks but you can still get the idea. It is just soo pretty. The song that inspired this or the lyrics rather were from Aerosmith's song Pink. Funny story about that song... It actually isn't one of my favorites at all. I used to have the CD with that song on it and I'd skip it every time... but it was stuck in my head so I brought it to life! I hope you enjoy!!! Keep scrolling to see the process. |
