Watercolor is hard....

Hi there!

So recently I found a few quotes that I wanted to enhance with some "simple" watercolor and uhhh boy did I get in over my head lol
I have been working with watercolors for a while in a more abstract way so I thought I could whip something up pretty quickly that would enhance the quote but it was much much more difficult than I expected lol take note I am using basic Crayola watercolors (honestly they're leftover from my son from school lol) and I'm using a sketch journal, not watercolor paper.
​However, better tools would not have changed the outcome of my piece here lol  

Granted the challenge is welcome and I will definitely be doing more watercolor just much more slowly and I will still probably add more elements and won't do many full watercolor pieces... at least not for a while.
I'm really not too interested in this kind of art so it was already kind of out of my comfort zone but wow. Did I learn A LOT.

So here is my eyesore for now lol I honestly considered adding chalks or pen and enhancing it because I knew that I could improve it, but I wanted to keep it in it's raw form in hopes that it can be a reference later as I improve.
Everything ... well almost nothing is about the "masterpiece" it's always about creating and learning and using what you learn to enhance your next peice.... at least for me.
