Hi there! Just sharing another one of my creative outpours! This pretty girl has been sitting around for months now just waiting to be turned into something cool so I finally did it! This was a bit challenging but fun for sure. Basic Mixed Media/Collage... The girl came from a magazine and the flowerly elements from an adult coloring book. I will probably start making my own doodles soon but I'm happy using what I have for now. Things Used: Magazine cut out. Flowers from an adult coloring book. White Gesso. Watercolors. Acrylic Paint. Card Stock. White Out Pen. Washi Tape. Black Ink Pen. Scissors & Glue. And off we go... Starts with composition... and I decided to go all blue so I painted the flowers with watercolors. Next I added Gesso to the background and I changed her top... Wasn't a big fan of the leopard print and it wasn't meshing well so I used some washi tape and made her a new top lol I really had no idea how I was going to make this work as I was going along but I got the entire background gesso'd real good and I added some splashes here and there to get some color started... For the title I used blue card stock and the same color washi tape as I used for her top. And here is the finished product... I ending up adding a lot more paint as you can see which worked out because it also helps create some movement and I think it's pretty good... not bad actually. I did add some acrylic paint in the "clouds" too, I wanted to change them up a bit... for the title I used a White Out pen and I went over the ballon strings with a black inky pen. At first I wasn't sure about this one, but now I kinda want to frame it and hang it up... And make more lol it's actually a rather big piece for me... My art journal is 8x5 and this piece is 9x12... Here are some close ups! I wanted to highlight a few areas so you could see them better but I did add some glitter to the pretty girl... in her hair and on her dress a bit... Hopefully you can see it in the picture on the left. Anyway! I do love this one... I love the movement and the interaction with the flowers... Very cute. Thank you so much for stopping by!
More to come! I hope you have a brilliant day! Much love. Amanda
