I actually made this cookie with some number cutters I had and one of my plaque cutters. I see these number/plaque cookies ALL THE TIME and I love them!! I was so happy to get to create one of my own! (Well for my sister haha) If you follow my work you've seen this trick a few times (Harry Potter) & (Steak Dinner) I think those are the only two... there may be another but either way I love the texture it creates and it was perfect! Especially after adding some shading. This is also a Frankencookie just like the 30 and the plaque previously, except this one is just a plaque cut in half. Oh this rose. How I love and hate this rose lol I was very excited to do a black rose but man what a freaking chore are you kidding me?? Black icing is pretty difficult to achieve even though I use cocoa powder as a base to get me started so it's not as hard as going from straight white but I ramble....... the icing was a tad too thick... so my petals kinda broke and man I was bummed. Overall I still love it... and I know it's more "natural" this way but I think when you want something to go one way and you get another result it gets difficult to part with your expectations. It's still pretty though and best bet I'll be making more. Don't you love the little gold splatter? It's an edible gold dust that turns into a paint when mixed with vanilla extract or some like to use a very high content alcohol like Vodka or Everclear. You can find it HERE through my Amazon Affiliate link! (I will recieve small compensation.) It can also be mixed into drinks to make a sparkly beverage and it comes in a ton of colors. I actually have 2 different golds and a silver. Here's a mash up of some process pictures. The fall/winter is a kinda crazy time... It's always an adventure seeing what photos I actually took once I've finished and the cookies are long gone LOL. But eh.. at least I got some lol I think this ended up being my favorite cookie of the set and I had no idea until I created it. Again ued watercolor (food coloring gel and vanilla extract) to do the shadowing and also for the wording... usually I pipe or use markers but I got a really cool spooky effect just using a brush. Yup. Definitely my favorite. Okay so... again... pictures... lol I get caught up in the process and sometimes some of these cookies are done before I turn around and think... dang... I didn't get a single picture of that LOL. But just some candles.. nothing too fancy going on here. Same with the 30 AF cookie.. I finished that one right at the end in like 10 minutes. I always love getting photos in the sunlight because that's really the only way I get anything close to representing what the colors looked like... You can probably tell it was a bit cloudy but I still got the sunshine needed to really bring out that BEAUTIFUL PINK that is really impossible to photograph with indoor lighting. I absolutely love this set... probably of all the sets I've done so far this is in my top 5 faves... It was so DIVA!! And that pink!!! And the rose... AND......... the coffin.... Look how much more excellent it looks now that you can see how pink the flowers are. Love this set. Oh yeah and I've also started adding a little package of sprinkles with some of my sets. I think it's a nice little touch... for your birthday ice cream or cake or brownies or whatever idk... But I thought it was a cute idea... who doesn't love a specialized bag of sprinkles??? Thank you so much for coming to see this adventure!
More to come! Much Love Amanda
