Well it FINALLY happened.
I FINALLY got asked to do some Harry Potter cookies. Specifically Hufflepuff. I was so super excited to do these! Yes I know I did do the Graduation/Slytherin set too so technically this is my 2nd Harry Potter set.
I did do them very close to Halloween though so I ended up cutting the Badger out of the bunch I didn't even bake a cookie for it lol
It was a last minute edition to the sketch anyway so I wasn't really sad about cutting it... especially since I had the trophy and the crest thingy both with the badger on them BUT let's get this journey started before I start stepping on my own toes.
Pretty nifty! I love finding cool ways to use my cutters!!
...Speaking of cool ways we're about to move to another section with some cool stuff...
This technique has been making the rounds in the cookie community and people are making some really cute effects this way and I'm jumping on the bandwagon because it's genius!!!!
Please feast your eyes on a nifty little trick to create some texture using some basic parchment paper...
Sometimes I get sucked into my process and forget to take pictures but I think I did pretty well with the process there.. I just didn't get very many of the finished product unfortunately, but FEAR NOT I'm sure I'll be using this technique again the future FOR SURE.
In case your wondering I thought I was going to start adding little mini color palatte cookies which are what the little circles are BUT that just hasn't caught on for me yet.
No one ever wants to eat their works of art so I thought if I added the little color palatte minis it would give them a starting point for wanting to eat them LOL.
But I digress it just hasn't happened and I don't know if it will or not LOL.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little adventure even though it was kind of a wonky one lol
I just do what I can around here.
Thank you so much for stopping by!!
