Sketch & IntroDough & Flips & Frankencookies Mother's Day what a fun one!!! Didn't get to do Mother's Day sets last year since 2020 was cancelled so I was excited to do Mother's Day sets this year!!! I struggled at first trying to figure out what I was going to do but I came across some fashion/clothing cookies AND a little nudge from my FB memories and these were born! I'm getting a bit ahead of myself though. haha. I decided to use a new recipe for these so all 3 sets are Espresso Chip. I made a Mocha Espresso Chip in the past which was chocolate dough with the espresso chips. This time I just decided not to add cocoa. My black and brown icing is chocolate so I figured it would have been too much chocolate. I think I made the right decision because even my husband, who isn't a fan of sweets, complimented this cookie... it's a good cookie. It looks like cookies and cream ice cream to me LOL. The t-shirt cutter I have is huge so I had to make some alterations. Also hand cut the jeans to match the width of the t-shirt. DecorationsI love these little flip flops! Every pair I've done have come out sooo cute! I think you will be surprised by these though... These are little different... I was attempting to experiment with 3 different textures (a different one for each set) but I was kinda disappointed by these results.. I ended up doing a splotchy version of the crumple technique instead... gave it a bit of a vintage look so it wasn't a total fail. I will try this again though. Some progression photos. Here I'm starting the eyeshadow. The backgrounds take forever to dry lol This was my first attempt at creating some texture I wanted the t-shirt to be wrinkled BUT my wrinkles were too puny lol I needed stiffer icing with more volume and my chocolate flood icing is thicker since it has cocoa powder in it so it didn't work out but I learned some valuable information and there weren't any negative effects. The wrinkles just didn't show up. Details & Do OversLOL. Like I said... wrinkles are GONE. Completely devoured by the chocolate icing but not a biggy I just kept going... The shirt is still super cute. Time to add details to the sandals... I LOVE how these sandals came out!!! More details. Texture & ResultsJean painting was more fun than I expected. At this point I've added more icing onto my textured backgrounds and I went with the crumpled parchment again. The original texture was... well kinda texture-less... It was boring to say the least. I'm glad I went at it again. There we go. That's what I'm looking for... kinda haha... Nah it's definitely an improvement. Time for flowers! We're almost done! Getting them ready for photoshoot time! I have one more piece that needs paint first... *INSPIRATION*PhotoshootBagged & BeautifulThank you so much for stopping by!!
I hope you enjoyed seeing my work and I hope you come back for more! Have an awesome day! Much Love Amanda If you'd like to see the other sets you can find them HERE-Red Set and HERE-Purple Set.
