Hello! Welcome to the last little batch of cookies for 2020. The end of the year was quite busy so these last few sets are kinda messy but still worth posting and enjoying! This one comes with a new recipe YAY I hope you enjoy this little adventure. Usually my sketch is here but I didn't do one this time with it being such a small set. These are oatmeal raisin made with coconut sugar. Coconut sugar is supposed to be a good option for anyone with glycemic issues. They came out delicious I highly recommend! My husband is one of those weirdos that prefers Oatmeal Raisin cookies to Chocolate Chip cookies or any other cookies for that matter and he gave these the seal of approval. Try them out for yourself or for that one weirdo you know who likes Oatmeal Raisin haha. Okay I wanted to put the recipe at the top because I know how annoying it is to scroll through 8 thousand gigantic pictures that won't load, 7 ads and 6 videos just to print a recipe so you're welcome. Now back to the action... These cookies are pretty small so I processed my raisins and oats up pretty good... If you leave them too big they will get stuck when you try to cut out your cookies and it will frustrate you to the ends of the Earth so chop those things up small. I didn't have any problems this time but I learned from the Craisin Oatmeal Cookie experience. Anyway on with the decorating! This is just a cute little set... pretty simple... a lot of wet on wet. I used some food coloring to finish up the wood grain effect before piping and painting. It says Happy Bonus Birthday because these were late... December is already a super busy holiday time and my husband's birthday so I waited until the holidays were over to make all the late December/Early January birthday sets. Plus no one gets mad about bonus cookies... The frogs came out pretty cute... My kelly green icing was a tad too thick but eh... I'm happy with how they came out. They're happy little buddies. And that's it! Short and sweet!
I hope you enjoyed this little adventure! See you next time. Much Love Amanda
