Hey! Hi! Welcome! Okay so... I have something kind of fun for you today. This is a set I made for my bestie's birthday. I really like these "favorite things" sets. They're fun. If you enjoy lovingly torturing your bestie than you are going to LOVE this. I have to say, I think this is one of the cleanest sketches we've seen in a while LOL. Okay so the silly is about to already start... LOL. You see, my bestie is with me behind the scenes pretty much all the time... I send her my sketches, my ideas, she gets a million pictures while I'm creating... So when I make her set, it's really challenging for me to keep it to myself... But I found a really fun way to keep us both entertained and connected while I made her set. The photo below is the sketch I sent my bestie LOL. What I baked vs what I sent to my bestie: Hahaha I forgot how ridiculous I am. This is going to continue though and I'm having fun... I hope you are too. Let's get onto some process photos. I think this is a good place to drop the next funny. So not only did I work to cover up the cookies I also moved them around and stacked them so she couldn't make them out LOL. The left was current situation and the right was what my bestie got LOL. PIZZA!!!!! I've been wanting to do some pizza cookies for a while now but couldn't really find the right reason. My bestie and I freaking love pizza so this was my opportunity and I'm so thrilled with how they came out!!! So this set had 2 cookie redo's because I had some seriously airheaded moments LOL. Not a huge biggy but I'll show you what happened. Idk what I was thinking with the sparkler... I had it backwards... These first 4 pictures were my first attempt... when I went to add the sparkler I realized I had the dark and light backwards LOL so I did it over. I wish I would have had more of the dark vingette and a smaller section of bright on the 2nd cookie but it was acceptable. I hated this cookie. So there really aren't very many pictures of it haha.. But I figure all the other ones looked so good she'd have somewhere to start as far as eating them goes haha! The next oopsy was realizing most Food Trucks don't have 3 sets of wheels... just 2... at least my reference only had 2 ... So I rebaked that sucker. No biggy. Funny story, I actually got a Food Truck cookie cutter for Christmas so I feel like I will definitely be revisiting the food truck cookie. Now that we've addressed the oopsy's we can continue on with some of my favorites from the set! I just had to add those notes because... accidents happen... you just gotta improvise, correct and move on. Also, you will see the "rejects" in a few more pictures so I wanted to address that. Now onward with the pretties!! I love how this cookie turned out. Literally one of my faves and perfect for my book nerd bestie. Next up is the cute little cow.. aww.. It was hilarious, when I was making this set my husband said "you sure are brave sending a girl a cow for her birthday" HAHAHAHAHA I died. Hilarious. Rest assured, my bestie is just a midwestern girl who loves cows like most midwestern girls LOL. Plus it's a cute freaking birthday cow. it's adorable. I must have just been excited idk why I don't have completed pictures besides my photoshoot pictures but... Hakuna Matata. See. Outrageously adorable Birthday Cow. Going to pause here to show you how I kept torturing my bestie. HAHAHA. I mean... I'm pretty hilarious and the most humble, obviously. Sigh... I kinda forgot about the Food Truck. Haha. This was actually my first Food Truck, but there will be plenty more. PhotoshootClose UpsBuddy SystemPerfectly PackagedBONUS FOOTAGE!So recently I've started making some basic minis to send along with the sets because as it turns out, people have a really hard time eating pretty cookies LOL. In light of that, I've been sending some basic extras in each set so that it makes the munching start easier lol My bestie is all about sunsets so I decided to just do some basic hand painted sunset cookies. I flooded them all in white and then just painted them. Gotta say, they almost turned out TOO pretty LOL. If I use sprinkles, which I did for this set, I usually send a little sprinkle bag along. I thought hers was super pretty. Hahaha yes the torture continued!! She did get to see a sunset cookie and her sprinkle bag but I left everything else as a surprise! I have to say it was fun creating this set, it's probably one of my favorites from last fall. I also had a lot of fun keeping her wondering what I was doing hehe. THANK YOU SO MUCH for coming along this journey with me!
This was kind of a long one but I made A LOT of cookies. No wonder I didn't get proper pictures. There was A LOT going on, especially with me messing up the 2 cookies that I had to do over BLEH, but we made it and of course she loved them... even the ugly one LOL. I hope you will join me next time! Who knows what I'll do next? Much Love, Amanda

My birthday set is the hardest for me too!!! I LOVE getting to “watch” you work and see the progression of your masterpieces, even when I get bogged down at work, your cookies make me smile!! I had wondered how you’d handle the photo spamming and you did not disappoint!!! Truly lucky and blessed to share in your talents!! The cookies were EXACTLY flavored like I wanted, and YES the pretty makes them *almost* too hard to eat!!!
