This post contains affiliate links. Here is a closer picture of the sketch and also how I created the sorting hat hehe! YUP! I used my handy dandy witch cutter to make the sorting hat! Pretty nifty! I love finding cool ways to use my cutters!! ...Speaking of cool ways we're about to move to another section with some cool stuff... This technique has been making the rounds in the cookie community and people are making some really cute effects this way and I'm jumping on the bandwagon because it's genius!!!! Please feast your eyes on a nifty little trick to create some texture using some basic parchment paper... I hope that helped you guys see my process!!! I told y'all I was busy LOL. Sometimes I get sucked into my process and forget to take pictures but I think I did pretty well with the process there.. I just didn't get very many of the finished product unfortunately, but FEAR NOT I'm sure I'll be using this technique again the future FOR SURE. Oh boy that was one of those times I just got caught up in process and didn't get many pictures BUT I did get the creation of the brick texture which was the highlight of the platform cookie really. I also used more of that edible gold I love so much! Just a few process photos! I made a transfer for the badger and it came out pretty perfect. How beautiful all the black turned out!! Black is such a difficult color to create I was pretty happy with these few. I used my edible markers a few times for this set. I absolutely LOVE them and highly recommend them for decorating! You can purchase some of your own HERE. I usually don't post these random jumbled process photos but it was the best I got for some of these cookies LOL. Okay well the trophy was pretty difficult to recreate and I did it all by hand I didn't use a projector or any fancy method for this... also it's painted, covered and smothered with... you guessed it lol more GOLD!!!! It was really pretty even though it looks pretty dull in the camera. Welp... lol what an absolute bummer I did not get any pictures of the wand creation and got very few of the sorting hat creation but I loved them both... I was really connected to the process at the time... aren't they cool though?? Came out pretty neat! Okay so October was a big mess lol I ended up giving this set out in 2 separate occasions because time just wasn't on my side at all lol but he did eventually get his whole set and he was happy!
In case your wondering I thought I was going to start adding little mini color palatte cookies which are what the little circles are BUT that just hasn't caught on for me yet. No one ever wants to eat their works of art so I thought if I added the little color palatte minis it would give them a starting point for wanting to eat them LOL. But I digress it just hasn't happened and I don't know if it will or not LOL.
