Let's Get StartedThis cookie was fun!! Watch how I created a yarn ball from chocolate royal icing. And the beanies... I don't think I have any planned but I'd like to do some more of these... This whole set really started something new for me as far as texture goes but it's very tricky as far as figuring the icing out... if the icing is too stiff it's impossible to work with for many reasons but if it's too runny you won't get definition at all so it's tricky and I'm excited to play around with textures some more. The drink vessels are pretty popular.. I've done them a lot and I will probably do more of them in the future -no doubt- but they are pretty cute.... And I got to bust out my bronze luster dust and do some paint splatter. Absolutely gorgeous! *Side note everything I use is 100% edible. Luster dust mixes with clear vanilla to create paint. Cardigan Creation Did I mention the shirt/sweater/hoodie was hand cut? K well they were hand cut LOL. They are so freaking cute. I created them from a rectangle cookie cutter. Idk why I didn't add that in there somehwere. Fall is busy. But look cute cardigan... hehe "Knitting" the Sweater So kinda funny because I do actually knit and crochet...now I also knit and crochet in royal icing apparently hahaha.... Hoodie Situation Ha I ran out of cute things to say... More textures! & Paint. I used the parchment paper trick for the border of the birthday quote cookie. I've done this technique before if you missed it and are interested you can see a more detailed version HERE. I used the same bronze to paint the crochet hook and I only picked "H" because it's a popular size... Photoshoot & Close UpsI love how cute these looked bagged up!! That's a wrap for this set, literally haha...
I really enjoyed creating this set and I learned a TON about texture... mostly that I'm still very much beginner level as far as that goes. Definitely need more practice... Thank you so much for coming on this journey with me! I hope you enjoyed it and maybe learned something new! Hope you have an awesome day and I hope you come back for the next one! Much Love, Amanda
