Hi all! Welcome to the Care Bear process post! Just a heads up this post is HUGE!! Because Care Bears are adorable and I took like 300 pictures LOL. So without further ado let's get this started! Sketch/ConceptSpecial birthday cookie request... White Chocolate Macadamia... And man were they good... I made a whole batch for myself LOL. Also haven't posted all my pretty icings in a while and this set was definitely colorful! It took me about 2 hours to mix the colors but I didn't even notice I had a blast LOL. The FlipsHow to make a Care Bear? Welp I had a bear cutter and a few little alterations and I had Care Bears!! Very happy with how that turned out! As for the plaques I guess I didn't get a picture... It's just a square meshed with a plaque cutter made to look like clouds. I love how it came out! Edible Ink and SketchesHow to draw a Care Bear? Oh boy... ha well to be honest I had no idea how I was going to do this part. I just grabbed my edible markers and started sketching... To my surprise they looked pretty good... I was scared to add the icing though hahaha I did all the sketches night 1 and decided to address icing them in the morning... Since this post is so big I did it a little differently. I posted all the bears individually so you can see them come to life, then I posted all the pictures as the process went along. I couldn't actually do any of these in one sitting there was a lot of layering so I had to wait for each layer to dry. So I gathered my courage and started flooding... Birthday BearWish BearWatercolorFood coloring & Vanilla Extract Oh boy and to the stars lol So I guess my yellow icing was a bit thin... or I used too much food coloring when I went to paint the gold on because it melted the icing a tad... boo.. But not a huge deal.... it's still edible LOL. Tenderheart BearCheer BearGood Luck BearGrumpy BearI honestly wasn't super happy with the Care Bears... I made their eyes too big... blarg. But they're still cute. Actual ProcessThis shows how the process actually went along... Photoshoot & Side-by-SidesWelp... I didn't get pictures of them bagged up I was more than halfway packed already (picture top left) before I realized I hadn't taken pictures of them bagged up. BUT I did get a picture of the pretty box I made!! I mean c'mon it's basically like it came from Care-A-Lot Headquarters hahaha My friends are spoiled... but I love them. Holy crap you made it! That's the end!
Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by! Much Love Amanda

I have been on your site probably 50 times in the last few weeks. My youngest son's baby layette and nursery were done in 24" hand drawn and colored care bears. I loved it! It was 1985 and this was my last baby and I knew it. The best job in the world is being a mother. My son's 1st baby was just turning one. I made the care bear cookie set for her party, 6 sets of 7 bears. I followed your blog so carefully, it helped so much! Forgot to get pic's, I will post them when I get them. Thank you!
