I have something a tad different for you today!
Okay so no sketch for this one either but in my defense it's only 2 cookies. Lol.
However, they are very special cookies these are copycat cookies of my brother's watercolor palette and brush.
I created these for his birthday!
I did however, have some references so keep reading to check it all out!
Neither one is really great to be honest and they're both different palettes so there was a lot of improvising to be done BUT this is a pretty heavy art related subject so I think it's appropriate.
I was not digging it AT ALL... I'm already pretty annoyed by the Crayola colors of the palette but there's really not a whole lot you can do about that when using food coloring...
The one thing I could do though was add some texture so that's what I did!
I used some really stiff, straight out of the mixer icing.
It had to be covered with a wet cloth while I wasn't using it or it would dry out and be unusable immediately so that's the deal with the cloth.
And I thought it was kinda cool to add a picture of my palette while making my brother's palette because why not meta? lol
Nothing too fancy going on with the brush pretty simple actually...
Just had to wait for reach rib to dry to create the depth.
Then I painted it with edible Gold Dust.
I have to say it looks so much better!!
I feel like I definitely over worked this one but I still love it.
I guess it's a bit exaggerated as far as my brother's actual palette but it has character.
You can tell I did keep some colors the same but others if I couldn't tell or wasn't sure I kinda made it up so... eh...
You can also vist my brother's website by clicking either of his pictures below.
It's so huge I had to make a bag from a Ziploc gallon bag hahaha it heat sealed just fine though no biggy.
It is greatly appreciated!
Stay tuned for more!
