So. I'm tired of dreading Monday. Monday comes every week. Once a week. Forever. That's a lot of time wasted with dread and anxiety and general unhappiness. It's time to bring that to an end!!
In the grand scheme of things we rarely remember what does it was..
We just remember that we had an awesome day, maybe a few of them could even be Monday's.
1. Monday Coffee/Breakfast
So I actually buy (on sale with coupons) a special flavored coffee for Monday's and Friday's. I keep my budget at $5. We're only drinking it twice a week anyway so it lasts longer anyway. Besides that wonderful vanilla aroma first thing in the morning is definitely motivating. If perhaps you're not a coffee drinker.. improvise accordingly. Maybe you enjoy a special tea or latte instead? Or a special Monday breakfast.. lots of options. Do something to make your Monday morning awesome!
2. Plan Dinner (Pick a favorite)
I like to pick a dish that I look forward to all day. It keeps me going. I'm already looking forward to my baked tacos. Relatively simple, little clean up but DELICIOUS. Nothing worse than reaching the middle or end of Monday and deciding everyone is having cereal.
3. Stomp Out A Nagging Task
I like to call Monday my "paperwork" day. When really it means making that annoying phone call to customer service I've been putting off or something equivalent. It just makes Tuesday much easier to wake up to. I love basking in the satisfaction of completing an annoying task =)
4. Admire Your Accomplishments
Check out all the awesome stuff you did! Also take time to plan for tomorrow accordingly.
(Maybe make some additions to your to-do/goal list)
5. Have Your Wardrobe Ready (I recommend this one for EVERYDAY)
I am a stay at home mom, and even I will spend 15-20 mins staring in my closet for what to wear. When honestly I could very simply put on pjs and call it a day lol. However, I decided to start picking out my clothes the night before. Check the weather for the next day and pick something out accordingly. It's so nice to be able to wake up and just go straight for the shower with no freak outs over what to wear or what is clean and what isn't. Just save yourself the time and frustration. Your future self will love you.
6. Pick A Positive Affirmation/Monday Mantra
