Hello hello and I'm back! With another adorable custom decorated cookie set! This set was so much fun!! So bright and beautiful I loved it!! As always, here's the sketch idea for the set. ***Y'all this post must have taken me like 1530 hundred hours oh my goodness I forgot how many pictures I had PLEASE enjoy!!! I really liked this one and it shows FOR REAL lol I decided to maket his set a "funfetti" kind of set and I added some sprinkles to the cookie dough! I love how they turned out and I'll definitely do that again in the future! I could definitely add more sprinkles!! Now onto the decorating! Catching them on camera was really really difficult this time. Between the lighting and all the different colors I think my phone camera was having a really hard time so the colors look pretty crazy in some pictures but the best ones are of course at the end when it's daylight lol I do a lot of cookie decorating at night so we take what we can get for decorating and I can usually get really nice finished pictures! I loved the rainbows so much I made a small set for myself LOL. O M G There are so many pictures LOL. Okay so what's next lol are y'all still here? At least scroll to the end where the pictures with the sunlight are! LOL. I am loving just seeing these all again this was really a fun set. I loved the colors and the brightness. It reminded me of Crayola. I don't have or really even think I want a projector so I do all my lettering by hand and I was pretty terrified to do this banner but they came out really cute!!! Not perfect.. but cute.. I already have a set planned for the fall with this cutter and I'm excited to use it again... Going to be a little different this next time though hehe... I know I get ahead... but spoilers are fun sometimes! TaDa! The full set!! Dude this whole section was totally worth waiting for look how freaking awesome they look! There is zero competition for natural sunlight... always makes my pictures look amazing and true to color. Let's wrap it up! Besides how absolutely adorable these cookies are I LOVE that you could flip them over and see the sprinkles peeking through! In the future I will probably use double or triple what I used. I know they can handle it. I made some super packed mini chocolate chip ones and they were perfect. I'm excited to do this again. Hehe she is just soooo cute!!! Y'all these were hard for me to let go of... Until we arrived with them and the birthday girl lost her freaking mind... It was completely worth it... and I was no longer sad about letting them go. Welp that's it. That was a HUGE post.. oh my goodness... I can tell you though I probably took more pictures of this set than of any set I've done so far... I'm pretty sure I unloaded close to 400 photos onto my laptop just from this set LOL. So just imagine how hard it was to pick out the 50 I just used (not really.. idk didn't count) So there are some things as always let's see what would change if I could... Well #1 I would have used wet on wet for Unikitty's face and not used white food coloring... It was helpful with gluing the eyes and the little cheeks to the face but I could have handled that without it as well. Not a biggy but I do need to start being more prepared to use wet on wet when I need to. I didn't want to make another light pink JUST for her face so eh... Either way the birthday girl did not complain... Next... I've been doing more line work.. I just did a set where I outlined everything with black and a VERY TINY brush... I would love to have some really thin edible pens/markers but alas I do not. I have thick markers.. so I used those but added food coloring and used it with a brush. (That set will be posted soon so check back for updates!) I think I will be doing more "watercolor" in general. I guess lastly I will mostly be using a thicker icing in the future even for flooding. I've noticed when you make the icing super thin you don't have to worry about flooding that's for sure but it loses any height and it goes really flat. I'm not a big fan of that. I prefer a little puff. So even though is probably means nothing to most of you I think I'm going to move to a 17-20 second icing for most of my work. Flowers etc will still need stiff icing but most flooding and decorating can be done with 17-20 second icing. So that's the last change I'll be making. Anywho.
Thank you so much for taking that really long but hopefully enjoyable journey with me! I hope you come back for more! Have an awesome day! Much Love until next time! Amanda
