This set was super fun! My very first "character" cookies.
So here's my sketch and my somewhat overly abundant color palate (haha) and I even added the little Olaf concept in there so you can see how he was made.
That was Olaf let's move on to Anna and some watercoloring.
I was also pretty proud of my color mixing skills. Even though I think I printed her out on a draft setting so everything was lighter than it should have been but icing always dries a bit darker anyway. It's all good.
It was creepy when I was doing it but I guess that's just kinda how it is when you're constructing a person. It's weird. So the eye thing yeah it's icing and I used a small round sprinkle for the highlight in the eye.
I have never been a big fan of faces as far as creating them goes. It's difficult. I used to always forget to draw noses as a kid and because of that I remembered to give her a nose lol.
I literally just created a triangle and it worked out so... whew.. lucked out on that one...
I was absolutely terrified to write on these beautiful white cavases. The first one I did came out okay but I liked the other two better. At the end of the day I loved all of the plaque cookies. They came out pretty cute. Again couldn't decide on putting a border or not so I went no.
I do snowflakes every year but I tend to draw blanks on how to decorate them. I did have some cute little sugar candies/sprinkles but they aren't very soft and seeing as these were for a 2 year old I decided to just do all icing and some more sugar sand sprinkles instead. I was pleased with them they definitely went well with the set.
I hope you enjoyed seeing it come to life!
Stay tuned for the next round of edible treats!
My son's birthday is in June as well as Father's day and a few other birthdays so who knows what I'll be up to!
Thanks for hanging out!
